◆  For owners of established businesses

Your business is worth more than you know.

I have been involved in six deals, straight acquisitions and consult for equity, and I still run every business behind them. Most owners are sitting on a bigger number than they think. I will show you where yours is on a call.

◆  From my own businesses

These are numbers I produced, not case studies I read.

Every figure below came out of a company I own and operate. That is the difference between me and the people who send you a proposal.

Price and tiering

£54,000

Revenue added from a pricing and tiering change alone. No extra leads, no extra headcount, no capital spent.

Return on ad spend

59x

What the acquisition side returned once the offer and the pricing were right underneath it. Traffic was never the constraint.

Single campaign

£23,000

New business written off one campaign. Same team, same capacity, same market. A different offer in front of the right people.

Figures are from businesses I own and operate. Results depend entirely on the business, its market and its starting position, and are not a forecast of what yours would do.

Most owners are running blind and do not know it

You know the bank balance and you know roughly what is coming. That is not the same as knowing which month gets tight, which jobs actually make money, or what the business can afford to commit to. Before I touch price or volume, I build the visibility.

Week 8 is the squeeze WEEK 1 WEEK 7 WEEK 13 CASH POSITION

Illustrative thirteen week forecast. You see week eight coming in week one, not on the Friday it lands.

Built in week one

Thirteen week cash flow forecast

Every receipt and every payment, week by week, thirteen weeks ahead. You stop making decisions on the bank balance.

Built in month one

Margin at job and product level

What each job, product or customer actually earns once labour, materials and unbilled time are in. This is where the work you should refuse shows up.

Monthly, ongoing

A management pack you actually read

One page a month with the handful of numbers that run your business. Not accounts nine months late from someone filing your returns.

You cannot move a number you cannot see. This is always the first thing I build.

There is a bigger number in your business. I will show you where.

Three ways this goes

We work out which one fits on the call. There is no obligation to any of them and nothing gets listed or marketed at any point.

Route one

We grow it together

A monthly retainer plus a share of the upside we create. Visibility gets built first, then we move the levers. I am paid properly only if the number goes up.

Route two

We prepare it for exit

If you want out in one to three years, selling as you are leaves money behind. We fix what a buyer discounts, get the numbers defensible, then go to market from strength.

Route three

I acquire it outright

A direct sale to me. One buyer, my own capital, no marketing your business around the trade and no chain of tyre kickers walking through your operation.

◆  In their words
“From day one he took the time to understand our business, our finances and the challenges we were facing. He quickly became a trusted partner rather than just a consultant.”

Miabella, current business owner

“I’d been approached before and it never felt right. Lewys was different. He understood the business, shared the same core values, and I could tell it would be left in genuinely capable hands.”

Who you are speaking to

My name is Lewys Bassett. I have been involved in six deals, a mix of straight acquisitions and consult for equity, and I run a group doing around £500k of combined EBITDA. I have signed the personal guarantees and had the week where payroll and a breakdown land together.

I am analytical by nature and I have run the businesses. I have made the price decisions, lost the customer and had to go and replace them.

The call is a conversation between two operators about what your business is worth and what it would take to move that number. If the answer is that you should do nothing yet, I will tell you that.

◆  Before you book

What actually happens on the call

01

You talk, I listen

What the business does, what it turns over, what is frustrating you and where you want to be in three years.

02

I tell you what I see

Which levers are live in your business and roughly what they are worth, in plain numbers.

03

We decide if there is a fit

If there is, I set out how it would work. If there is not, I say so and we both get our afternoon back.

Book the call

Thirty minutes, direct with me, entirely confidential. Nothing is shared with anyone and nothing goes to market.

Does the call cost anything?

No. The call is free and you leave with my honest read on your business either way. If we go further than that, we agree terms before anything starts.

Am I committing to anything by booking?

No. Nothing is signed, listed or shared. If there is no fit, I will say so on the call and that is the end of it.

What if my numbers are a mess?

Most owner run businesses I speak to are in exactly that position. It is usually the first thing I fix, not a reason to wait.
